VOSH-CT (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing free, high-quality eye care and vision services to underserved communities in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
Our volunteer teams have traveled annually in January to provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and treat eye disease, dispense prescription eyeglasses and medications, and improve the quality of life for thousands of individuals who otherwise have little or no access to eye care.
In January 2026, a dedicated team of volunteers, including optometrists, optometry students, nurses, opticians, translators, and support staff, worked alongside Nicaraguan volunteers provided care to 4,335 patients during four clinic days.
